The Historical House Palazzo Bellarmino is located in the heart of Montepulciano just a few meters from Piazza Grande. It was the house in which , the most important catholic theologist of his age, Doctor of the Church and now Saint, Cardinal Roberto Bellarmino, was born in 1542.
Some finely furnished wide and luminous 2/4/6 beds apartments are ready for the best accommodation of our clients ( 55 sq meters two roomed flats, 80 sq meters three roomed flats, 110 sq meters four roomed flats). All the apartments are provided with private services with fully fitted kitchen, bathroom with shower, Sat. TV, self heating.
All the apartments have views over the countryside or Montepulciano.

Palazzo Bellarmino was in a great location in the center of the charming town of Montpulciano. We loved having a kitchen to cook in and the town people were all so friendly and helpful. As we found with all of the small hill towns, finding the hotel and then parking is a challenge. But we got to the point of that being a part of the adventure.

Our apartment was very large and spacious and extremely quiet at night. The location is great. The bathroom was nice and clean, as was the kitchen. The only thing really missing in the kitchen was a coffee or espresso machine and a corkscrew. The cable TV had thousands of channels! We wish we had stayed longer than one night - this place was one of the nicest places we stayed on our two week honeymoon. We would definitely like to stay there again and for more than one night.

We really enjoyed our stay in Palazzo Belarmino. WE had everything we needed there and stayed right in the heart of the city as wellas not far from public parking places. The staff - Alfredo- gave us a very nice welcome, communication was without problem. I have nothing to complaint about.

The contact information provided by Venere.com was not very helpful. We did call the telephone number provided but no one answered. In terms of emailing, it will be more efficient to write to info@palazzobellarmino.com (which we found by ourselves on the internet) instead of palazzobellarmino@venere.com provided by Venere.com. The owners, Mr Ezio Romani and Mr Alberto, were very helpful and kind in assisting with my questions and also gave out their own mobile phone numbers. We had a wonderful stay.

Really fantastic! The apartments are in a beautiful historical palace just 100 metres walking from Piazza Grande, the most important square in Montepulciano. The rooms are very large, quiet and well furnished. Wake up, hear the bell of the Cathedral and have breakfast in Piazza Grande is an unforgettable experience that we surely are going to repeat!

By car
Highway A1 (Firenze/Roma): from North (Florence) exit Bettolle-Valdichiana then follow signals to Montepulciano and to City Center: Piazza Grande-Parking number 8. At the end of Via dei Filosofi turn right and then left onto Via di San Donato. From South (Rome)exit Chiusi-Chianciano, then follow same indications. Please note that in the city center traffic is restricted. You always can let off and pick-up luggages in front of the Historical House.

By train
Chiusi rail station (20 km far) and from there take a taxi or bus to Montepulciano. From Montepulciano Bus station take City Center local bus named "Pollicino" (T1 orange bus) that stops few meters from the Historical House Palazzo Bellarmino.

By airplane
Nearest airports: Firenze Peretola (95 km); Perugia (80 km); Pisa (210 km); Roma Fiumicino or Ciampino (220 km).
