The Astons Apartments are located in central London, close to all the main attractions of the city such as Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall and neighboring Knightsbridge with its outstanding shopping area - including Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the Kings Road.
The three preserved Victorian town houses have been finely restored into completely self-contained exclusive apartments, offering a luxurious relaxing accommodation.
The reception offers tourist/tour information about London, and between 6.30 p.m. and 9 p.m you can use the Internet Point which is also in the reception.
From the 1 July 2007 the Astons Apartments will be a completely non smoking establishment.

The studio apartments consist of a fully equipped kitchenette, private shower facilities and double and/or twin bedroom. Executive studios feature a walk-in marble shower room.

La habitación para 4 personas disponía de un sofá-cama en el cual no pudimos dormir la primera noche (toda la noche sin dormir), incomodísimo, ruidoso. Toda la noche sin descansar y el día siguiente lo perdimos por tener que estar pendientes del cambio del sofa por dos camas, reduciendo el espacio del apartamento. Muy caro para la calidad ofrecida.

The room was very small, despite having apparently been "upgraded" to a twin room this was not suitable for 2 people. The carpet was sticky and I would not walk on it without something on my feet. There was a very tatty table and chairs, the seats of both chairs were badly stained and therefore I spent my time in the room sitting on the bed. The room generally was very tatty and parts of the curtains had fallen off the rails and the hems were down in parts. The bathroom was basically a part of the room that has been sectioned off with shower, toilet and basin all in one very small space. I would certainly not return nor would I recommend this property to anyone. The only saving grace was the location which was very close to a tube station which was on a direct line from Heathrow.

nice place in the South Kensigton-Chelsea area. Lots of pubs and supermarkets open 24/24 near the apartments.

Simple use of the toaster let the fire alarm "explode" - it was impossible to use the toaster without alarm. That was quite bothersome. 62 steps to the appartment was a good exercise :-) We enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider coming back to Astons when in London again.

The apartment was correct. Quite street, nice building, nice surrondings...But the bathroom was incredibly small. It was very difficoult to move inside that little box. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay in London.

We think relantionship between price/quality could be improoved, regarding the size of the double bed rooms and the inexistence of a lift. Otherwise we loved it and hope to come back.

Hammering noise from piping. Woke us up in the morning. Web pages says internett services. This was not correct. There was no wireless, no hardwiring to the rooms, no PC's available for guests. We were told that if we wanted to send a mail we could borrow one of the office PC's! We brought two laptops from Norway and could not use them. Location in the city was good.

The location - South Kensington, was great as handy to Glouster Road tube station, cafes, banks, though we thought it was rather pricey on Australian standards for what you got.

overall exceptionally clean, fantastic location , on the negative side rooms small,and limited hot water on the night.unexpected deposit of £50 for room key, which was returned at the end of our stay.

The toilet is the worst, it's impossible to take a shower because is small. There are only three channels on the TV and there aren't enought kitchen tools for cooking.

Expensive but what you would expect to get in London for the money. Pubs nearby all excellent and a great location if you're planning to take in The Natural History Museum and The V&A. Gloucester Road tube is within easy walking distance.

How to reach Apartment Astons
By car
From the M25 motorway, continue until you reach the M4 junction. From here continue, the A4 will join the M4, following signs for central London. Continue over the Hammersmith Flyover until the road merges onto Cromwell Road. Continue until you reach the Gloucester Road intersection, and turn right. From there follow directions from Gloucester Road station.
By underground
From Gloucester Road Underground Station, turn immediately right down Gloucester Road. From there, take the third turn on the right (Hereford Square), and then the second turn on the left (Rosary Gardens). The office is located on the right hand side.
From South Kensington Underground Station, once you leave the station you need to cross over the road and head down Old Brompton Road. This road is land marked by a Lamborghini car dealership. From here you continue down this road and pass through two sets of cross roads with traffic lights. After the second cross road, which is the intersection with Gloucester Road you need to take the next turning on the right which is Rosary Gardens. You will see a Ferrari dealership just opposite. Continue up Rosary Gardens and the property is on the left hand side.
By airplane
From Heathrow airport London, you can catch the Piccadilly line from all of the terminals; this will bring you to Gloucester Rd station. Cost for a single approx. £3-4.
Otherwise, you can get the Heathrow Express train service to Paddington station. From Paddington you will need to get a circle or district line to Gloucester Rd. Cost approximately £10 including underground transfer.
A taxi will cost approximately £30-40.
From Gatwick airport London, you can get the Gatwick Express train service to Victoria Station. From Victoria you can catch a Circle or District tube westbound to Gloucester Rd. Cost approximately £10.
Taxi will cost approximately £50-60.
From Stanstead airport London, you can get the Stanstead Express train service to Liverpool St. From there you can catch a Circle or District line via Victoria Station to Gloucester Rd. Cost approximately £10-15.
Taxi will cost approx £50-80 depending on traffic.
From Luton airport London, you can catch a train to Kings Cross st. From here you can catch the Piccadilly line to Gloucester Rd.
Taxi will cost £50-80 depending on traffic.

Self Catering Apartment Policies
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.
CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in: the apartments are available from midday until 9 p.m.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the apartments not later than 11 a.m.
SPECIAL NOTICE
From 1 July 2007 it will be against the law to smoke in most enclosed and public places and workplaces, including the Astons Apartments. Smoking in smoke-free premises holds a fixed penalty notice of £50.00 imposed on the person smoking. Should the problem persist, Astons Apartments will have to cancel the reservation and unfortunately, ask the guest to leave. Reservations cancelled due to infringement of the smoke-free laws are non-refundable.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservation accounts must be paid in full on arrival in £
sterling. Astons require 48 hours notice for
cancellation of reservations or a cancellation charge of a
maximum of 2 nights will regrettably be enforced. Bookings
over 7 nights will be charged 7 nights if cancelled within
48 hours prior to arrival. Walkouts and no-shows will be
charged as per cancellation policy previously mentioned.
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 2 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
