This is a great apartment, well appointed, decorated with pottery and pictures, even a dishwasher. Note there is no lift & its on level 3 and we had 60 kg of bags - travel light people. Right on the San Lorenzo Church street market area

you need to call ricardo ahead or you arrival and i would call him again the day of the arrival and you might not have to wait (for us 3 hours)for michelle to get home from class to give you the key.- everything else was outstanding - an be sure to talk to the leather store people of the left and go to the restaurant on the right of the entrance door - very nice people

We were delighted with the apartment - it was beautiful, well-located and the owner was great to work with - we were extremely pleased

Nobody was there when we showed up. After we pushed all bells on intercom, we found an english speaking woman who knew how to get the girl with the keys. The apartment is spacious but rather worn out and minimal both in decor and conveniences. There is also an unpleasant smell.

The apartment was wonderful, in a nice location right near San Lorenzo market. No real view out of the windows, looks out on a shaft, but the location makes up for it. Make sure you connect with the owner prior to arrival since he lives in Rome and often has only an answering machine to take messages. We were unable to connect in person to confirm our arrival time but he was there to meet us, based upon my leaving a message. It just was a little scary to not be sure if he got the message and if he would be there to let us in.

My friend and I stayed in both the Cimabue and Giotto apartments for a total of 5 nights in mid-October. Both apartments are relatively spacious, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The location in the heart of Florence could not be better. However, the best thing about this experience was the warmth, friendliness, helpfulness and generosity of the owner, Mr. Lenzi, who also speaks fluent English. The 3 story walk-up apartments (Giotto and Cimabue) are probably not for the elderly, but I would would highly recommend VIP Florence (Giotto or Cimbue) for anyone wanting a very pleasant and comfortable stay in the center of Florence.
