This was an excellent place to stay, being so close to the Duomo and the Accademia. The facilities were very good and there were two supermarkets close by, as well as the all the shops in the centre of Florence! We walked everywhere and it was so nice to be able to go back to your own appartment anytime you wanted to, e.g. in the afternoon when it was too hot to walk anywhere and all you really wanted to do was rest, and then go out again when it was cooler. We have already recommended this appartment to many of our friends and family and I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

The biggest drawback of the apartment is that it is noisy due to marble floors, high ceilings, the lack of sound proofing between the apartments and a noisey stairwell. Make sure that you have earplugs. The stovetop is a small two burner and was somewhat precarious especially if you were using both burners at once. The location is good and the apartment although quite dark was mostly comfortable.

By car
The apartment is easily reachable by the motorway A1, exit Firenze Nord for people coming from the north or Firenze Sud for people coming from the south. Follow the indications for the centre.

By train
From the Santa Maria Novella railway station, take the underpass to via Panzani and follow the road until the Duomo. Follow Piazza del Duomo for about 150 metres and turn left in via dei Servi.
