apartment - living room Self Catering Apartment Sol II apartment - living room Sol II is a comfortable apartment renovated in 2004 and situated in Barcelona city. It has a capacity up to four persons and is located in a typical old building of Gracia neighbourhood.

The flat is situated ten minutes from the city centre and from Passeig de Gracia, the most elegant street of Barcelona where there are two Gaudi's buildings: La Pedrera and Casa Batlló.

The apartment is located in Gracia, a neighbourhood that still conserves the character of a small town of the beginning of the 20th century, with its narrow streets and market. Moreover, there are a lot of restaurants with International dishes.
The apartment is located in the heart of a popular Barcelona's neighbourhood and next to one famous square: La plaça del Diamant, in Torrent de l'Olla street. Nowadays this area has a lot of discotheques, pubs, shops, bars and lively streets, so it is always full of young people.

The apartment is very well connected because it is just a few meters from the Fontana underground station and near some bus stops. So, tourists will arrive in a few minutes to other interesting places of Barcelona, as Güell park, Sagrada Familia, Montjuïch or the beach.

Appartement dans le quartier jeune de Barcelone pas loin du métro donc assez animé le soir. Vu qu'on était un groupe de 4 jeunes, ça nous allait parfaitement. Appartement sympa avec une belle cuisine équipée, salon + chambre et salle de bains avec serviettes prêtées. Dommage que les deux des trois grands lits étaient des canapés lits pas super confortable. Ca paie pas de mine de dehors mais c'est super sympa à l'intérieur.

We stayed in Barcelona for a few days in sep '07. We've been to Barcelona many times before and we've stayed on many different adresses. This appartment was very small, but the kitchen was quite big and complete. But do you really need that as you are out a lot? the bedroom was ok, but the "livingroom" was very small. the worst thing of the whole appartment was the bathroom: too small: the shower is only 40x40cm2 with a curtain which doesn't hold any water, so after a shower the bathroom is wet all over! The floor was not clean when we arrived (there were hairs) The location of the appartement is ok. Very close to metro Fontana and the area of Gracia is nice with a lot of cafes, bars and restaurants. Also you can walk to Passeig the Gracia and on Gran de Gracia there are a lot of nice shops too! I would not recommand this appartment to families as it's too small. There's a little balcony, but no view at all: you look at walls of old buildings.

The apt.photos shown on the website are a total mislead.The rooms are too small even for 3 people.There is no proper bathing space.Its tooooo small even for a small child. The cleanliness of the apt.was very poor.Overall I was not at all happy with my stay here.There no directions provided to come to this apt.from the public transport system.

Only stayed one night - thunder storm during the night meant the light fitting leaked in the bedroom soaking the bed! Owner was very nice and gave us full refund. I reckon this problem will be resolved now. The apartment is situated in the northern suburb of Gracia close to Park Guell. Neighbour playing guitar and steel drum in the early hours meant we moved to the sofa bed before leak and saved a drowning! Small but accommodating apartment if on a budget. No oven - only hob.

For the price, one can't beat Sol II. Our host was very friendly and accomodating. It is reasonably close to all modes of transportation. Small amenities a plus. The only downsides: no telephone in the room, and a broken showerhead (it was old, and we just happened to be the lucky guests to be there when it broke). I would highly recommend staying at Sol II.

How to reach Apartment Sol II

By car
The apartment is easy to reach from the El Prat airport, just taking Ronda de Dalt until Plaça Lesseps in Barcelona city. There, continue the indications until Torrent de l'Olla street, where the apartment is located.

By train
There is a train from the El Prat airport that arrives in 20 minutes to the main Barcelona railway stations (Sants and Plaça Catalunya). From these railway stations, visitors can take Line 3 until the Fontana underground stop. The apartment is near there, in a two minutes walking distance.

By bus
There is a bus line from the El Prat airport that arrives in 30 minutes to Plaça Catalunya. Then take underground Line 3 until the Fontana stop. The apartment is near there, in a two minutes walking distance.

By ship
The Barcelona harbour is near the Drassanes underground stop, visitors must take it until the Fontana stop. The apartment is near there, in a two minutes walking distance.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Check-in: the apartment is available from 4 p.m. Guests must call the apartment owner in order to communicate him their arrival time.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the apartment not later than midday.

INCLUDED/NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE
Payment by Visa Electron is not accepted.
Cleaning service is not included and costs €30,00.

The owner asks for a deposit of €150,00 as a guarantee for the flat. This amount will be returned to the guests at the end of their stay, if no damage or problem has happened.

Pre-payment:
In order to confirm the reservation, a pre-payment of 25% of the total value is required. It will be carried on the guest credit card. When the owner will have the credit card authorization, he will send the confirmation of the reservation to the guest with all the necessary indications to arrive to the apartment.

CANCELLATION POLICY
i) 20 or more days before the arrival: we refund complete of the pre-payment ii) between 11 and 19 days before the arrival: we refund from the 50% of the pre-payment iii)10 days before the arrival or less: we don't refund the pre-payment
You may cancel your reservation without penalty up until 20 days before your arrival date, by accessing the Your Reservations page. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE".
