Americas Best Value Inn & Suites-San Francisco/Golden Gate - San Francisco

I will never ever recomend this place to anybody. Yes this is worth for 25 to 35Dollars maximum. There is no shuttle service as shown it is all cheating people. When I asked the person incharge told me , they will arrange the shuttle for payment.

I asked for non smoking room.. ppl were smoking feet from our room, outside but ... you know.. way too close, you could smell the smoke in your room. the air conditioner quit working in the middle of the night, although they did offer a fan. they didn't fix the problem. the owner told us to complain but how can you complain before something breaks? there really isn't free parking its first come first serve. there wasn't cold water in our bathroom sink, it was mild hot. no cold water attached to the sink. the second room we acquired didnt have a microwave, nor a fridge door that shut on its own.. i left it open the second night to backup the air conditioner. you must master the toilet, or it will run wasting water. but regardless of all .. i really liked the owners.. i got a deal, i got what i paid for. i didn't complain and if i had i'm sure they would have tried their best .. so good luck :)

Location is great. The breakfast room is very small.

The front desk man and his wife were so friendly. It was a very comfortable stay, and we really appreciated the free parking. The room was small,but it was just what we needed, as we were sight-seeing and only needed a place to sleep. They provided hair-dryer, ironing board/iron, smal fridge. Close to everything, and the clerk was great at giving us info about the buses, etc. Great to go walking from! Local bars,pizza, donuts, and an IHOP across the street!!

Located handy to useful bus routes and pleasant bar/cafe strip. Breakfast not so much 'lite' as inadequate.

La mia camera era spaziosa e dotata di sauna; unico difetto la moquette che necessita di una pulizia approfondita e giornaliera; alcuni ospiti sono stati un po' molesti ma l'educazione non è una cosa che si insegna...è un motel un po' lontano dal centro della cittaà ma basta prendere l'autobus 22 fino a church e poi la metro e ci siamo!! anzi così ho avuto la possibilità di vedere union street, filmoore street e japanese town...

Managers very welcoming & helpful. Rooms very livable and location was excellent close to public transport and food outlets. I recommend this hotel.

Nice rooms and nice place, not far from the bay; the surroundings are interesting (restaurants, shops, parks), but noisy.

This hotel was quite good, positionned nearly Fisherman Warf (10 mn walking). Very well welcomed But it was quiet noisy, breakfast was a little bit "cheap" (coffee, orange juice, 1 muffin) so globaly, I wasn't so glad by this hotel even if it was enough for a short stay.

Typical SF motel. It is not very close to tourist areas. It is good for people who need car parking and bed.

It is a basic hotel/motel type facility but it is priced appropriately. The location is great. While it is on a busy street, it is a block away from a very vibrant neighborhood with tons of restaurants, coffee shops, etc. It is walking distance to the Marina Green and other interesting SF places. The manager was terrific, very knowledgeable about the area and helpful.

Near the marina, near the GG Bridge, near city center, connected by fast trolley-bus day and night, and still quiet. The night staff (indian) helped us much with our late arrival, much beyond his duties. Give him good tips, really.

Classic US motel. Good motel, inside the town and quite close the golden gate. The rooms are not very new but it is a good place for sleep. There are many pubs and restaurant in the area so you do not need to get transports to move. no BART station close to it (20-30 mins walking or 10$ taxi).

Handily situated on main highway 101 for going N of San Francisco, yet adjacent to good public transport links to all the sights of the city. Good selection of diners and bars nearby. Shrouded in scaffolding at the front when we first arrived, made finding it a little difficult - but renovation work completed by the time of our second visit, making it look smart. Frequented mainly by other holidaymakers, I would have no hesitation in recommending this motel for a comfortable, good-value stay.
