The hospitality and simplicity of the interior Algarve and its people, combined with a familiar ambiance and excellent location at the beginning of the beautiful Caldeirão hills offer Herdade da Corte ideal conditions for some pleasant holidays or a long weekend.
Surrounded by mountains and hills, immersed in surrounding nature, tranquillity, aromas and colours, we find Herdade da Corte. The ideal place to find total peace and quiet, relax and discover the beauty of simplicity, enjoying the sweet sounds of silence.There are two accommodations: El Monte del Labrador which has 7 rooms and the Monte de la Belleza with 5 rooms. Connecting the two units there is a winding path, where it is very common to see much of the local fauna such as partridges, hares, rabbits, blackbirds and pigeons.
The main house (Monte del Labrador) dates back to 1928 and was carefully restored. Its thick walls, wooden windows and ceilings, and rustic floors create a truly warm and cosy atmosphere.
Next to the Monte del Labrador, there is a salt water swimming pool, the reception, the Bar and restaurant.

perfect located spot, run by an argentinian couple, extremley good cooking and perfect breakfast, small but nice pool and perfekt cleaning. I coudnt get more for my money!

Herdade da Corte is a wonderful place to stay if you have your own transport. It is placed in the Algarvian hills some way away from the sea - a downside if you only want to splash in the water, but it is wonderfully quiet, with beautiful hills around and with a very welcoming and helpful management. It is a tad difficult to find on maps/GPSs though, so the hotel web site could benefit from some more detailed maps for advance planning. It is easy to follow instructions when you are there though.

We came here by chance and then we decided to stay longer because the place is just great and the owners are kind and helpful. They also have a restaurant with fresh cooked (fish was great) and they could also provide vegetarian dishes on request. A place to come back

The hotel is really a jewel. The kindest staff we've ever met, great quiet location, romantic dinner at the terrace, the beach is 15 minutes by car. If you're a light sleeper like me, then the only issue can be some noise from other rooms. But when everybody goes to bed, you can hear only the cicadas...

We went for four nights in June. It was quiet and spectacularly beautiful with plenty of walks, just what we were looking for. We eat there each night of our stay. George asked us what and when we wanted to eat in the morning, and it was there waiting for us. No iceberg lettuce or water forced tomatoes in the salads. We were concerned about the lack of air conditioning - no need, the walls are so thick it was unnecessary. Unbeatable for chilling out with sundowners on the dining-room verandah overlooking the valley. If this is what you are looking for you can't beat it. We'll be back. Tip: the second house is a few hundred yards away up the hill - perfect if you want complete obscurity but it might not suit all; it may depend on what type of room you specify, check on booking.

Realmente un sitio estupendo! Un lugar muy diferente en Tavira, en plena sierra y a sólo 5 km de la playa y del pueblo de Tavira, único! 100% recomendable. El trato de los dueños, Adriana y Jorge, no puede ser mejor. El lugar... simplemente paradisíaco y las comidas fantásticas y a muy buen precio. Volveremos! Sitios así quedan muy pocos.

Everything was excellent! We had a great welcome and we hope to come back very soon. I appreciated everything, country house owners (really nice family), rooms, swimming pool, sorroundings and meals. I strongly recommend this place! Enjoy your holidays!

Easy access along the A-22/VIA DO INFANTE motorway, by taking the exit 16 TAVIRA and the first roundabout you will find a sing : TURISMO RURAL / Sta. CATARINA.
Carry on along this road for approximately 3,5 km. until you come to a turning on the right which is signposted : MORENOS.
Carry on along this way for approximately 1,5 km until you come to a turning on the left which is signposted: TURISMO RURAL.
