A very pleasant surprise: attractive design, large & comfortable rooms, free mini-bar and top-notch service. The only downside is the lack of noise isolation: I'll bring my ear-plugs next time! Overall excellent value for money.

We wanted a nice one-night stopover between Avignon and Sitges and chose Girona and this hotel on a lark. This hotel is fairly new and in many ways attractive (a nice deck and dining area with a view over the town) but for some reason has no swimming pool, which was a surprise considering where it is. My sense of it is that it is good for business meetings and trainings but not really for tourism. The hotel is also in a wickedly obscure location and the directions are none too good. Girona itself has nothing to recommend it but we had a ball in at the Dali museum in Figueres after we left in the morning... if we had it to all over again, we would have looked for something in that town instead!

It's a beautiful hotel, the only problem I found is that it's on the top of a hill and to walk there from the train station, even with quite light luggage, has been tiring.

Nice, beautiful, well designed hotel at a good price. The rooms were well designed and very clean. We would stay there again. The only bad thing about the hotel was the cost of breakfast is 16 Euro/person. However, the mini bar is free. The walk into the old part of the city is only 10 min. downhill, but it is uphill walking back to the hotel.

Excellent location and car parking. 10 Minutes walk to old city, shopping streets or market place. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Unique panorama from the hotels terrace. We really enjoyed our 4-day stay in in this hotel.

We stayed in Girona and in this hotel 3 days. It is perfectly situated, close enough to walk to town, yet far enough to be away from the noise. The hotel is new, very clean and very modern looking. The staff is not overly friendly, yet they do provide all the necessary services. The bar and reception area is very chic and the terrace provides a great view of the city. It took us only 10 minutes to get to the town center, and the uphill walk back was not as difficult as described in previous reviews. We had no problems going back and forth to town. Overall, we had a wonderful time in the city and in the hotel.

Hi, This was our first stay here. A very modern hotel with marvellous views. Could do with a pool though, internal or external. On a steep hill so my advice is to walk down the hill to town and taxi it back up again although we walked up twice! Taxis are expensive anyway and we needed the exercise. Girona is a beautiful city and not too expensive either. Some very good tapas bars. Well worth a visit (then skip off to the costa for a few days).

I read another review complaining about the hill and distance from the old town. It is a 12 to 15 minute walk, yes it is uphill but the rewards are great with the view. so no hesitation in recomending they had a half price breakfast offer over the w/e as well. Did not eat dinner there but menu looked good

The hotel is gorgeous but very removed from the old town. We walked down twice, but it still seemed too far and and the environment at the very modern hotel was too sterile. Girona is charming and definitely worth visiting but I think we would have preferred to be closer to the Old City. The place could really use a pool! The addition of a pool would make it very appealing! The patio is huge and could easily accommodate one.

Hotel was lovely and clean - staff were very nice and helpful. Beds are huge and really comfortable. Its a 10min walk up bank back to Hotel from the main center but that didnt bother us, its nice to walk off your food and wine. Views from the outside seating area are wonderful, you can see the whole city.We will stay at hotel again and reccommend it to friends and family. Hayley and Simon - Durham England

Good welcoming hotel, very professional gentleman at reception when we checked in on 19Dec, not so pleasant but still competent lady when checking out on 20Dec 2008. Details in construction, especially in bathrooms, should be better for a five star hotel. Would stay again definitely.

We loved this hotel. The common spaces, inside and out were huge and welcoming, the room extremely comfortable, everyone we met was very friendly and charming. A minor annoyance was that it is a hike from the town, but only an €8 cab ride back. We would definitely recommend this venue and certainly stay again.

The great panorama view does not excuse the lacks in architectural solutions of this hotel (rather poor materials have been used also), nor the astronomic price of 17€ for a conventional continental breakfast or about 7€/h for internet access??? In order to justify this prices they should at least think about arranging a fitness center or some spa facilities free of charge since you are paying way more than 100€/night breakfast excluded.

I have used your website in the past and have been very impressed by it. This time it was a huge letdown: there was no mention that the hotel is situated at the top of a mountain - hence I now undestand the hotel's name. I am in reasonable health yet found it hard to make it up the unrelenting steep hill. Many would find it impossible. It is up to you to fully inform the public and you badly failed to do this.

This is a new property, and very modern. The staff was helpful. The old town of Girona was a short walk down, but a longer walk back, due to the climb. We really enjoyed our stay. The glass wall between the bathroom and the bedroom was a fabulous feature.

New high standard hotel with stylish modern rooms. About 10-15 mins walk (uphill) from historic centre of Girona in a quiet area. It does have a lovely view over the town. Perfectly walkable if you are fit but it is not surrounded by shops and restaurants. Not a good idea for people who are on foot and have problems with hills. Could be good if you are travelling by car.

The hotel is situated around 10minutes walk from the centre of Girona. The hotel itself was fantastic, especially consiering the price paid. The staff were more than friendly and always had smiles on their faces. One night it was raining heavily and the hotel provided both of us with Umbrellas no questions asked and with no extra payment. The Hotel is new and very sleek and stylish. The room also had a minibar which, was also free of charge. A nice touch when you can not drink the tap water. 10/10

We stayed here for three days through Christmas. The hotel was very new and stylish. It is a bit out of town although we walked to the old part of the city a couple time in less that 15 minutes (its a steep hill). Since we were there over christmas everything was closed so we ate the hotel restaurant which is very good. Is run by the same people who operate Celler de Can Roca, so its a good option whether your staying here or not.

Stayed at Girona due to late night flight, taxi from airport about 25minutes. Hotel perched on top of hill overlooking town. short walk to get to shops, but not for the frail or elderley. Hotel very nice, very modern and very clean. more business orientated but we enjoyed our brief stay here. A quality hotel.

We only went to Girona because our Ryanair flight (to "Barcelona") turned out to be to the Girona airport. The hotel is brand new, very modern and comfortable, and a five minute walk from central Girona - which is just charming! We liked it so much we stayed a second night. A tip - the breakfast at the Hotel is relatively expensive, we found a 'cafeteria' opposite the police station down the road with great coffee and pastries - both very cheap.

The hotel sits at the top of a hill from the quaint village in Girona, but it's actually not that far too walk, only about 10 to 15 minutes, although the walk up can be challenging. If you're looking for a hotel that is more quaint and characteristic of Girona, then this hotel is NOT for you. But if you'd like a hotel that's sleek, modern, and spacious, this is the place for you, despite its somewhat "out of place" feel compared to the rest of the city. The room was very spacious, especially the bathroom. Everything was well kept, tidy, and very clean. The wood floors, bathrobe, and slippers were nice touches to the room. The minibar in the room is free! It contained water, sodas, and beers. There's a flat panel LG TV, I'd guess about 25 inches. There is a great view of the rest of the city from the very large and spacious outdoor area, where you can sit and read or take your meals. Breakfast is not included, so I chose to walk into town instead. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and multilingual (I heard at least Spanish, French, and English fluently). Other hotels in Girona might be less, but for less than 100 EUR in such a great hotel, it was worth it.

The hotel has an excellent position you can stroll down the hill and be by the river and town centre in ten minutes. The large terrace outside the reception area has a panoramic view of Gerona with the mountains as a back drop. A wonderful place to take morning coffee or slip a cocktail watching the sunset. I loved the bathroom with the etched glass wall.
