Hotel Abba Madrid - Madrid

Generally good but quite expensive and ALL hotels should by now offer free wi fi. However nearby Cafe 93 offers a better breakfast and free wi fi. Good access by nearby bus station and Metro, but poor choice of mid-priced restaurants in this area.

We were very happy with our stay at Abba Madrid. We found several restaurants one block on the other side of Ave. de America. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and ate at a wine bar called Reblochon where the staff was very helpful and friendly. It was also close to the subway and convenient to get to downtown. The hotel itself was very clean, modern and quiet. We couldn't ask for anything better.

I stayed 6 days - 5 nights in Madrid. the first time at Abba Hotel. Everything was as advertised. The hotel was a little bit far from most activities, but okay. Excellent taxi availability. Did not use Metro, but a Metro station is nearby. The only minor 'minus' was a not-strong bad odor coming from the bathroom drain. TV was old model (not flat screen), but was excellent for the price. Keep the good price!

The close proximity of Abba to the Cartagena (50 meters) and Avenida America (500 meters) metro stations provide an easy access to the city centre. Although it is a business hotel, it can certainly be used by the tourists as well, especially with the affordable pricess they offer depending on the season. Avenida America is also one of Madrid's few major transportation hubs that provide an excellent transportation to the Barajas Airport (#200 for terminals 1-2-3, #204 for terminal 4, ticket costs only 1 Euro and the journey lasts only 20-25 minutes). The cleanliness of the rooms and hospitable staff are very impressive. There is a cute bakery on your way to the Avenida America station (just by traffic lights), where you can have a nice breakfast and morning coffee at low prices. You, therefore, don't need to pay nearly 15 Euros for breakfast at the hotel. Certainly recommended for Madrid travellers.

This was our (together with my wife) 6th time to visit Madrid. But, that was our first time stay at Hotel Abba Mardid. We are Japanese but have lived in Portugal after retired due to travel a lot in Europe. We enjoyed very much to stay at this hotel. The most impressive point was on the smile of the stuffs. Of course, we had several attractive points, such as..., - very near from the subway station. - faced to Avenue America. Anyhow, we wish to recommend this hotel to many friends.

It's a fine hotel, really, but dull and in a dull location.

Excellent hotel with larger than usual room. Location quite a long way from centre of Madrid but very handy for the airport bus, which leaves from the bus station across the road

The workers in the recepcion are very friendly, helped us a lot with the buses.

This is my second stay at this hotel. In terms of price/quality I recommend this hotel if you stay in Madrid. It is very near to 2 Metro stations. The downside is that there are not many shops around, and free wi-fi connection should be offered at the hotel.

Hotel is at a distance from downtown but is very close to the major transportation hub, ie the Avenida de Americas Station, which provides for convenient Metro and Bus services. I have stayed in downtown Madrid hotels before but I would opt for this hotel the next time I visit Madrid again. This is a fine hotel. The price I paid ie at 75 Euro dollars is a steal. The Bus fare (Bus # 200) from Airport to Avenida de America Station is a mere 1 Euro. I would not recommend tourists using the taxis as Madrid taxi drivers are known to be notorious and I have had very bad experience a couple of times traveling from Airport/hotel/airport. Staying in hotels in this area (Avenida de Americas) will eliminate this problem.

Cet hotel tout neuf a une mauvaise isolation phonique. Le prix annoncé (supérieur à certains hotels 4 étoiles plus proche du centre ville trouvés sur d'autres sites ) n'incluait pas le petit déjeuner qui a coûté 15 Euros par personne et par jour , coût particulièrement élevé vu la qualité du buffet. de 70 euros annoncés, le coût de la chambre revient à plus de 100 Euros pour 2 par jour. Il serait intéressant que Venere.com indique clairemnt si le prix inclue ou non le petit déjeuner et si la réponse est non, le prix du petit déjeuner.

We enjoy very much Madrid,everything was perfect.As the website told us the hotel was very confortable,very close to the metro and the price was,according to me,extraordinarly low for a four stars hotel like that.

It is a brand-new hotel. The rooms are very spacious and luminous. Everything is clean, specially the bathroom. It is very close to the metro and taxi station. The street is not very nice but it is near of Salamanca's district (200 meters) and it is really easy and fast to get the airport from this location. The staff is pleasant and professional. I would recommend this hotel.
